Started out with a basic slight understanding of the general making of a magazine Over the course of the year learned and developed color schemes through magazines and their influence. Having a solid understanding of Photoshop before hand, i was able to use it create a cover photo and a table of contents using tools like the clone stamp, contrast, hue, and saturation to give my photographs that pop and shine and give off a perfect balance of hot and cold and almost make some basic cars look intimidating. This was used to make an overall great look that would make readers want to pick the cover up off the racks of the article stands. Another software we ended up using was Apple Pages, which ended up great in terms of putting the articles together overall. We used Apple pages to put all of our articles together to help create this astounding look as well as its easy ability to make your Magazine look professional while using basic and simple tools available to anyone. Our product Drive-By™ utilized conventions and represents social groups to people ranging anywhere from teenagers to adults with interests in cars. The conventions that were used through all different articles was an establishing shot to help provide a general explanation of what the article is really about. The initial cover shots used to describe and set a variety of colors to be used throughout the magazine. The Main colors used were blue, white, and black, and is varied differently throughout each separate issue of the magazine. The main thing that the article is meant to do is bring people off all different understandings with cars to be able to appreciate and share joy with out magazine.The magazines goal is to bring people of all sorts together not mattering race or age. The elements used in the table contents were initial shots of cars to help establish that this is not your average car magazine.

Motor trend is a popular car magazine and car news outlet well known and reviewed across the car world with a circulation number of around 1.1 million. It has been around since around 1949 and is individually owned. It has established its headquarters in Los Angeles, CA. They use digital distribution through different sources such as you tube, apple newsstand, and amazon to provide digital copies of car reviews and what they think about it. They also use the internet to help provide the latest opinions of new cars released even before they hit the public.
